Baptism of children

We just ask that you first find time for a meeting to learn about both the ceremony and the conditions of the baptism. Please choose one of the following dates in the first half of 2026: <br><br> January 11, 2026, March 8, 2026, May 17, 2026 (P. Milos is leading the preparation)<br> February 15, 2026, April 12, 2026, April 21, 2026. june 2026 (preparation is led by P. The date of the baptism will only be arranged after this meeting. </p> </details> <details class="accordion"> <summary>Who needs to be present for the preparation</summary> <p>We ask that both parents make time, even if they are not married. <u>Provide a baby-sitter for the time that this parents' meeting takes place before the baptism: one of your loved ones may possibly walk with the baby through the St. Mary's Chancel.</u>Since more than one couple may be involved in the preparation, try to understand that we cannot do it in the presence of small children. Ideally, you should attend this preparatory meeting while you are still pregnant, when you do not have to deal with babysitting, breastfeeding or changing.
</p> </details> <details class="accordion"> <summary>How to proceed with the baptism of a child who is already in school?</summary> <p> Such a child already has his/her own opinion, and more than once he/she even contradicts the opinions of his/her parents; therefore, before the baptism itself, he/she must know something about God, about the Catholic faith, and about the Christian way of life that comes from baptism in general.
