Small pilgrimages and intercessions
According to an old legend, a certain Mr. Procházka once came to Svatá Hora. He was blind, but here he began to see. Today, too, many people are blind - to the problems of others, to poverty, to suffering. And we would like to change that. To heal our eyes so that we can see even people on the margins, or simply those who don't fit into the boxes of others. So from January 2026, on the third Saturday of each month at Evensong, we will pray separately for a select group of people who may find themselves marginalised by society, by the Church, or who may simply feel overlooked.
If you would like to join, it is possible to join remotely or arrive in person. Whether the topic will affect you personally or you just want to "expand the space of your tent" as the Synod on Synodality encourages.
And who will ever be especially close to our hearts?
17.1.2026 people who, for various reasons, do not feel at home in the church
21.2.2026 divorced people and priests (with families or partners) who have left the ministry
21.3.2026 those who have been hurt in the church
18.4.2026 the blind and visually impaired
16.5.2026 those with mental health difficulties
20.6.2026 parents who have lost a child
In addition, every Saturday evening at 5:00 pm we recite some of your intentions at Mass, which can be sent to matej.jirsa@farnost-svatahora.cz
