Vespers
Every Sunday at 4:30 pm, a sung Vespers is held in the Basilica, led by one of the deacons of St. Mary's or Pribram.
Vespers is part of the so-called daily prayer of the Church, which includes the singing of hymns and psalms, readings from the Bible and prayers for the whole world.
Funerals
Due to the pilgrimage status of the Basilica of the Holy Mountain, there are no traditional funerals or funerals with an urn in the church.
It is possible to hold a funeral Mass (Requiem Mass) in the Basilica. However, to make this possible, please contact us as soon as possible after the death of the person for whose soul you wish to pray with us at Mass.
If your deceased belonged to a community that meets at Holy Mountain, one of us will be sure to lovingly see him or her off on the last journey to the cemetery. In other cases, please contact the parish priest in Pribram (contacts on the website www.farapribram.cz) or a priest who knew the deceased.
