Devotions

• On Wednesdays and Saturdays, 30 minutes before Mass, we pray the Rosary together.

• Thursday at 5:30 p.m.: Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and silent adoration

• On the first Friday of the month at 5:30 p.m., sung litanies to the Sacred Heart

• After each Mass, there is an opportunity to venerate the statue of the Virgin Mary

Vespers

• Every Sunday at 4:30 p.m., sung Vespers are held in the basilica, led by one of the deacons from Svatá Hora or Příbram.

• Vespers are part of the Church’s “Liturgy of the Hours,” which includes the singing of hymns and psalms, readings from the Bible, and prayers for the whole world.

Funerals

• Due to the status of the pilgrimage basilica at Svatá Hora, traditional funerals or urn burials do not take place in the church.

• It is possible to hold a Mass for the Dead (Requiem) in the Basilica. This Requiem is usually celebrated either immediately after death (it may also take place before the funeral) or after the funeral. However, to make this possible, please contact us as soon as possible after the death of the person for whose soul you wish to pray with us during Holy Mass.

• If your deceased loved one was a member of the community that gathers at Svatá Hora, one of us will certainly accompany them with love on their final journey to the cemetery. In other cases, please contact the parish priest in Příbram (contact information is available at www.farapribram.cz) or a priest who knew the deceased.
