Announcements from Sunday, 4/19 with important information for the following week:
From the Life of Holy Mountain:
1. As part of the Prayer for a Safe World, we are praying for Ireland in April; further information and intentions for each day are in the Adoration Chapel at St Ignatius and in the rack at the entrance to the Basilica from the Information Centre.
2. The new Archbishop of Prague and former parish priest of St Peter's, P. Stanislav Pribyl, will take office on Saturday 25 April at 11am in the Cathedral of St Vitus, Vojtech and Wenceslas, all are welcome.
3. In connection with his arrival and the formation of his working team, several personnel changes will take place within the Archdiocese of Prague, one of which will affect St. Hora. The exact names and locations of the priests will be known after Archbishop Przybyl takes office.
4. Since St. Hora has been in economic debt for several years and lacks money for salaries, utility bills and services, we are asking very much for financial help from anyone who can donate a portion of their money as a gift to St. Hora. If you include your name and address in the memo, we will be happy to issue and mail you a donation receipt.
From the life of the Catholic Church:
1. Pope Leo XIV is currently on a pastoral visit to Africa, after Cameroon he has visited Angola and will continue to Equatorial Guinea in the coming week.
2. The media attention in recent days has also focused on the indiscriminate attacks on the person of the Pope by US President Donald Trump, so let us be prepared to defend the head of the Church in our surroundings and in our conversations.
