Announcements from Sunday, January 12 with important information for the following week:

From the Life of Holy Mountain:

1. Anyone wishing to participate in the Prayer for a Safe World can take home the intercessions for each day, which are available on the print racks near the exit of the Basilica.

2. This Sunday afternoon (Jan. 11) at 2 p.m., parents will be preparing for the baptism of a child in the parish hall .

3. Afterwards, Bible class begins in the Parish Hall at 3:15 pm.

4. On Wednesday, January 14, Dr. Vera Smolová will give the first lecture of the year on the graces associated with the Holy Mountain in the refectory.

5. On Saturday evening at Mass, there will be a special prayer for all those who do not feel at home in the Church - if you know of anyone, you can invite them to join us at Holy Mountain.

6. Preparation for Confirmation will begin at Holy Mountain on Sunday, January 25, with four people registered.

From the life of the Catholic Church:

1. The liturgical calendar for 2026 includes the following changing feasts and memorials: Ash Wednesday is celebrated on February 18, the Feast of the Passover on Sunday, April 5, the Feast of the Ascension on Thursday, May 14, and the Feast of the Descent of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, May 24. The liturgical year will conclude with the Solemnity of Jesus Christ the King on Sunday, November 22
