Roman Catholic parish at the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary

Svatá Hora near Příbram is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the Czech Republic and the spiritual heart of the Příbram region. For centuries, pilgrims have come here to pray before the image of Our Lady of St. Mary of St. Mary of the Mountains, to find encouragement in their faith and to draw strength for everyday life.

Our parish nurtures a vibrant community of believers who come together for worship, prayer, concerts and other cultural and spiritual events. In addition to regular liturgical life, you will find space for silence, reflection and personal prayer.

We invite you to discover the beauty of this place of pilgrimage - whether you come as pilgrims, visitors, or members of the parish.

Mass for those who do not feel at home in the Church

17:00
17:00 - 18:00
Bazilika

According to an old legend, a certain Mr. Procházka once came to Svatá Hora. He was blind, but here he began to see. Today, too, we can sometimes be blind - to the problems of others, to poverty, to suffering. And we would like to change that. To heal our eyes so that we can see even people on the margins, or simply those who don't fit into the boxes of others. So from January 2026, on the third Saturday of each month at Evensong, we will pray separately for a select group of people who may find themselves marginalised by society, by the Church, or who may simply feel overlooked. If you would like to join, it is possible to join remotely or arrive in person. Whether the topic will affect you personally or you just want to "expand the space of your tent" as the Synod on Synodality encourages.
