On the Holy Mountain, an open group meets every fortnight for silent meditation

Every fortnight , an open group meets on the Holy Mountain for meditation in silence, led by P. Matej - matej.jirsa@farnost-svatahora.cz. The space is open to all, regardless of age, experience or religion. Come and slow down for a while, quiet your mind and give yourself space for silence and inner calming.
On Sunday, May 24, 2026 at 6 pm, the next meeting, Meditation in Silence, will be heldin the lower clubhouse at the Presbytery . The evening will offer a space for a brief pause in the midst of the hustle and bustle of everyday life, to calm down and pray a simple contemplative prayer in silence.
Inspiration may be drawn from the thought of the Holy Apostle Paul that "in God we live, move and have our being", as well as Anthony de Mello's famous story of the fish who searched the sea all his life without noticing that he had been living in it from the beginning. It is silent meditation that can be the way to discover this presence in the ordinariness of life.
The meeting begins with a short introduction and continues with about half an hour of silent meditation. No previous experience or special preparation is needed. Just come and be.
