Svatá Hora invites you to the Night of Churches 2026
Svatá Hora will take part in the national event Night of Churches on Friday 29 May from 5 pm...
The Holy Mountain area will be open for visitors from 17:00 to 22:30. You can get to us, for example, thanks to the shuttle service between the places participating in this year's Night of Churches in Příbram. You can use the bus - as every year - for free thanks to the support and funding of the City of Příbram. Timetable here.
The programme on the Holy Mountain will start with a Mass in the Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
Throughout the evening there will be a program "Around the Holy Mountain", which will guide visitors through the Ambit area through stations with questions and tasks. There will also be a guided tour "St. Horus in a Different Way" with Chaplain Matej, focusing on the view of the pilgrimage site not only as a historical monument, but also as a place of inspiration for everyday life. The programme also includes a barbecue and an accompanying programme for children.
Visitors can enjoy a "Walk to see the miracles of Our Lady of Svatohorská" with Věra Smolová, director of the Příbram archives, who will guide visitors through the Svatohorská ambyts and present selected miracles; the start is at the entrance to the shop.
This will be followed by "Total Improvisation" with the Svatohorské regenshori P. Šmolík, focusing on organ improvisation and its non-traditional use.
The evening will conclude with a procession from the Basilica and the closing of the St. Mary's gates with a final blessing and ringing of the bells for the journey home, followed by a symbolic "farewell bell".
