Father Miloš Szabo concludes his time on Svatá Hora

A moment is approaching on the Holy Mountain that carries gratitude, a quiet look back and the natural sadness of parting. After less than a year, the parish priest of Svatá Hora, P. Miloš Szabo, is concluding his mission here, and in mid-May he will pass on his ministry and accept a new assignment - ministry in the large Prague parish of Barrandov and Hlubočepy.
The middle of May will thus bring a change of spiritual administrator and the conclusion of a relatively short, yet significant stage. A new parish priest, P. Vít Uher, will take over at Svatá Hora, while Father Miloš will go wherever the Church needs him. His departure is the result of a mutual agreement and remains a personal event for many - a farewell to a man who has left a significant mark here even in a short time.
Even in his less than a year of ministry, Father Miloš was able to show that priestly ministry is not just about daily liturgy, but also about building and leading community. It is also worth mentioning that even in this short time, under his leadership, it was possible to significantly stabilize the economic situation of Holy Mountain and reduce its debt by 2.5 million crowns.
Today, therefore, there is only one thing to say - thank you. For the work, time, energy and for the often invisible management that remains hidden from the public.
At the same time, there is an opportunity for all those who have known Father Milos during his ministry to say goodbye, thank him and be present at his last Mass at St. Mary's on Sunday, May 17 at 11:00 a.m.
