Holy Mass with the Archbishop and concert in honour of Karel Paukert

On the Feast of the Ascension of the Lord, Holy Mass will be celebrated at 5 pm by the Archbishop of Prague, Mons. Stanislav Pribyl and during which the late composer and organist Karel Paukert will be remembered. The service will be followed by a concert in his honour.

Karel Paukert was one of the important personalities of organ music. After his emigration, he worked for many years in the United States, where he devoted himself to concert activities, pedagogical work and the promotion of Czech music abroad.

An organ concert is dedicated to his memory, which takes place in the basilica from 6 pm after the Mass.
